Wont recognise the new sd card, I tried a different sd card but with the same result.I brought the sat nav back to the shop and they replaced it with a new sat nav.same result. It works fine with the SD card that came loaded with the other countries. Can anyone help???

Hi Gents apologies for the late reply. You are going to need a PDA with tomtom 6 already installed on it. Alcatel 4200 installation program manual download. Your use the files located on the pda to transfer across to the binatone carrera. Ok it is hard for me to explain on here so please bare with me - for sure it works, I will warn you first to backup your old binatone navigator files onto your pc first and also sometimes it has been known for the tomtom software to crash on the binatone so make sure you back them up to. From experience my binatone carrera has crashed twice and sometimes i've had to reload the tomtom files on it again. And if anyone fixes that then let me know.

Ok here goes. So you've backed up your folders - the ResidentFlash folder with the navi files on is the most important to back up. You need to have the a version of tomtom 6 which you have installed onto a PDA - the reason for this is simple - the folders on the pda under program files and the flash files replaces the MobileNavigator files inside the binatone carrera, along with some other files you have stored somewhere on your pda. 1st - make sure you have all the relevant tomtom folders on the SD Card - which includes your maps as per normal with your PDA.

2nd copy the tomtom files from you pda program files and any files in mydocuments and the my flash folder on the pda to your pc ready for transfer onto the binatone carrera: on you binatone carrera under the Resident Flash folder, there is a MobileNavigator folder create these folders inside the MobileNavigator folder if they dont exist already. Files needed: tomtom contacts itn logging my flash disk TomTom Voices Also from you pc or pda copy these folder into the MobileNavigator folder (make sure they dont go into any other folder just directly under the MobileNavigator folder); Tomtom.exe tomtom navigator ttmobile navigator data CurrentMap Now rename the tomtom.exe to MobileNavigator.exe. Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I thought I would add some more info here as (as far as Google is concerned anyway) this is the only place TomTom on a Binatone A350/X350 is mentioned. My experience installing TomTom 7 was a little different to mwaiter1's, so here are some alternate instructions: You will need: 1) A Binatone Carrera A350/X350. 2) A USB cable to connect it to your PC.

3) Microsoft ActiveSync (free download from MS) or the equivalent for Vista. 4) A version of TomTom Navigator that has been patched to work with PNAs - currently, 7.910 (9185) is the latest version. 5) Software that can extract files from WinCE cab files - I used 'WinCE CAB Manager' from OCP. 6) The PNA patch. 7) A file called note_prj.dll - this was included in the PNA patch in my case.

8) At least one map. The version of TomTom mentioned above will work with the current 815.xxxx version maps.

Keygen generator

9) The map/meta keygen. Instructions: Install ActiveSync, turn on your A350/X350 (no need to enter the navigation software) and connect it to your PC. In 'My Computer', go to 'Mobile Device' (this shows the files on the A350/X350) and open the ResidentFlash folder. As mentioned previously, it would be a very good idea to back up this folder to somewhere on your PC in case you need to revert to the Binatone software. After you have done so, delete everything in ResidentFlash.

TomTom is typically distributed as a cab file, which is not directly usable on the A350/X350, so the files must be manually extracted. Open the cab file with WinCE CAB Manager, go to Cabinet->Files->Extract, and select a location to extract the files to. Go to where you extracted the files. Rename [INSTALLDIR] to MobileNavigator. Overwrite any files here with those from the PNA patch, or you will get a memory error when starting TomTom. Rename 'TomTom Navigator.exe' to MobileNavigator.exe.
